The Professional Standards Authority Accredited register programme was set up by the Department of Health and is administered by the Professional Standards Authority, who are an independent body, accountable to Parliament. The Programme was created to ensure that the public are able to choose safe, ethical and competent professionals for their health and social care needs.

The NCS and NSH have registers of members and these registers have been accredited by the Accredited Register programme.

As part of my commitment to you I have ongoing clinical supervision and regularly attend courses and further training to enhance my knowledge and professionalism with Continued Professional Development.

I have been a volunteer counsellor with a charity providing counselling to young people ages 11 – 25 years since September 2019.

My Approach

I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment for you to be heard. I am an integrative counsellor, therefore I seek to combine aspects of different approaches to provide what you need, when you need it.

I will not give you my opinions or advice. Instead, I will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems.

I believe the relationship between us is the key to supporting you in your journey.  Research suggests that the therapeutic relationship itself is more important for a good outcome than the theories your counsellor favours. It is therefore important for you to choose a counsellor that makes you feel safe, accepted and treated with respect and perhaps also challenges you in a positive constructive way. I offer a free 30 minute consultation, to help you decide whether I am the right counsellor for you.
